The WHU Master in Finance addresses graduates from around the world with an excellent first academic degree in a business-related field of study as well as good quantitative skills. This unique program provides students with an in-depth understanding of financial markets combined with practical relevance and a global perspective. A supporting study environment enables students to gain their master’s degree in as little as 17 or 21 months. The language of instruction is English.

The Master in Finance is a full-time program that starts at the beginning of September each year with two study sections on the WHU campus in Vallendar. Students will choose eleven modules. Up to three modules are available from the Master in Management Program. The choice of finance modules is wide and covers key financial issues including Capital Market Theory, Financial Valuation, Asset Management, Behavioral Finance, and many more. The compulsory internship provides students with the opportunity to put theory into practice. An integrated study abroad, either within the scope of the capstone module abroad, a semester abroad, or even by joining one of WHU’s unique double degree programs, provides valuable international experience.

Students with a 210 ECTS bachelor’s degree will be able to join the 90 credit track which lasts 17 months and includes an international capstone module abroad. Students with a 180 ECTS bachelor’s degree will participate in the 120 credit track which lasts 21 months and includes one semester abroad at one of WHU’s partner universities worldwide.

Students in the Master in Finance Program may also opt for the double degree programs. They will spend two semesters abroad at selected partner universities and earn a full degree from the respective partner university (usually an MBA degree) in addition to the MSc degree from WHU.
