GISMA Weekend MBA
GISMA Business School was founded in 1999 as a partnership between the German public and private sector. The school is operated under the umbrella of the GISMA Foundation, a not-for-profit foundation of the State of Lower Saxony. The Foundation was formed by leaders of major German companies, who were supported in this effort by the German Chancellor Gerhard Schröder.

GISMA’s quest is to be one of Europe’s leading providers of state-of-the-art management education. Therefore GISMA established a cooperation with Purdue University’s Krannert Graduate School of Management, Indiana, USA, one of the leading Business Schools in the United States.

Which programs does GISMA offer?

Master of Business Administration (full-time MBA)

This is an 11-month MBA full-time program in cooperation with Purdue University’s Krannert School of Management, Indiana, USA. This unique cooperation provides multiple benefits to our students:

- an internationally accredited degree (AACSB) from Purdue University (ranked among the top 25 worldwide)

- studying with fellow students of many different cultural backgrounds

- profiting from consulting projects and an extensive company network

- intense interaction with teachers due to limited student enrollment

- an extensive career service.

The International Masters in Management Program (IMM, part-time Executive MBA)

In cooperation with Purdue University, TIAS Business School in The Netherlands and the Central European University in Hungary GISMA offers a 2-year part-time Executive MBA program: The International Master’s in Management Program (IMM). This Executive MBA program is designed for experienced professionals who seek to obtain both, an American MBA degree from Purdue University and an European MBA degree. This MBA program is a two-year “on-the-job” program and addresses managers with an average of eight years of work experience.

The degrees are granted by Purdue University [www.purdue.edu] and accredited through the AACSB and The International Association for Management.

World-class instructors are the cornerstones of the academic program at GISMA Business School. In addition to helping the students acquire the skills necessary to become tomorrow’s business leaders, they are dedicated to providing students with a positive educational experience. That means moving beyond typical lectures and exams to experiential learning exercises, computer simulations, student consulting projects with real companies and off-site trips. The vast majority of our teachers come from our partner Purdue University and bring the quality of the Krannert School of Management.

Offering two leading AACSB-accredited MBA-programs, GISMA Business School belongs to the top three Business Schools in Germany.

Voraussetzungen / Zulassung
There is neither a typical student nor a typical background for the MBA programs offered by GISMA. GISMA seeks to build an extraordinary diverse group of students with any kind of first academic degree. Each year GISMA selects a limited number of talented young professionals who have demonstrated high potential to succeed in an international business career. Student selection is based on a combination of an individual’s academic performance, personal characteristic, managerial experience and international motivation as well as willingness to contribute to an international student body.

The program is open to individuals with a wide variety of professional, educational and cultural backgrounds. A previous degree in business or economics is not required.

Förderungen
The GISMA Foundation offers numerous possibilities for financial assistance. Enabling qualified applicants to participate in the program regardless of their financial means is an integral objective of the GISMA Foundation.
