Project Management - MBA Option Course

Beschreibung

Projects are an important part of every organisation in our economy and are a key component of strategy delivery. With an increased emphasis on delivering projects on time, to budget and against agreed acceptance criteria, we must now push ourselves to devise smarter, unique approaches to avoid costly project failures or over-runs.

In this 5 day course you will learn to take a managerial approach to project management through a multi-disciplinary view of project processes. The course uses materials and cases from a number of sectors, taking you beyond a simple look at methodology and into the wider strategic context of projects.

You will gain the knowledge to carry out critical examination of the commonly used project delivery tools, whilst at the same time reflecting on both the benefits and limitations of conventional approaches to project management. Together we will explore what we can learn from project failure, how we can use this to build better more robust practices, and increase your understanding of leadership and behavioural issues within project management.
