Our integrated business foundation year is designed to provide you with the core business, economics and entrepreneurial knowledge and skills to enable you to progress on to the BA (Hons) Global Management with Pathways. During the year you will develop mathematical and analytical skills, conduct research and write in both academic and business English.

You will learn to analyse problems and propose a range of solutions you have personally developed. You will also be able to apply the knowledge and skills you have learned as part of a business development project.

The BA (Hons) Global Management with Pathways is carefully structured to offer you an integrated and holistic approach to management studies. It builds your skills across four complementary areas of management practice, after which you follow a specialist pathway.

The programme not only taps into current trends, but also looks to the future, allowing you to study subjects that are highly relevant in today’s competitive workplace and prepare to manage changing future trends. You will learn the key skills, such as critical thinking and negotiation that are vital to current and future business leaders. You will learn to manage uncertainty and assess risk and become a confident decision-maker. We encourage you to challenge established pre-conceptions and critically question the world around you, developing both resilie nce and adaptability.

Program Emphasis

This pathway will provide you with the insight needed to identify marketing opportunities and the ability to develop appropriate strategies to put them into action. Marketing roles exist in diverse organisations ranging from small and medium enterprises to global corporations, government or non-governmental organisations.

Your broad understanding of marketing as a profession will make you a highly desirable employee in marketing roles across diverse employment fields including media, finance, retail, health care, education and research and development.

Requirements / Application

Academic requirements

We require a minimum of five passes at GCSE/IGCSE level at grade C or above, including English and Maths. Other equivalent international qualifications as recommended by the National Academic Recognition Information Centre will be accepted. If you are unsure as to the comparability of your qualification, please contact us.

English requirements

PLEASE NOTE: Latest update regarding ETS & TOEFL testing – The Home Office has suspended all ETS tests, including TOEFL exams, as evidence of English language ability from new visa applicants.

Therefore, if you are relying on an ETS / TOEFL certificate for Visa purposes please be aware that you will now need to take an alternative English proficiency test.

We will continue to accept the following English language proficiency tests:
  • IELTS
  • PTE Academic
  • Cambridge Advanced
  • Regent’s University London on campus diagnostic test
If you have taken and submitted the TOEFL test as part of your admissions application, or have any questions in relation to the above, please do not hesitate to make contact with our Admissions team to seek further advice and support.

For those applicants whose mother tongue is not English, we require a recent pass in any of the following qualifications:
  • Cambridge Certificate in Advanced English, grade C
  • GCSE/IGCSE English, grade C (for non-EU IGCSE students, please provide along with the IGCSE certificate, the Supplementary Certifying Statement with the breakdown of component grades)
  • IB Diploma English A grade 4 or above HL or SL. English B grade 5 at HL
  • IELTS (International English Language Testing System) with an overall score of 5.5 (for non-EU students: a minimum score of 5.5 in each component)
  • TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) score of 80 (internet-based test) (TOEFL results not accepted post 17 April 2014 for non EU/UK students)
  • Pearson Test (PTE Academic) score of 53 (for non-EU Students: a minimum score of 51 in each component)
  • Trinity College London Level 1 Certificate in ESOL Skills for life (B2): a pass in reading, listening, speaking, writing (applicable to non-EU and EU students)
  • Trinity College London Level 2 Certificate in ESOL Skills for life (C1): a pass in reading, listening, speaking, writing (applicable to non-EU and EU students)
  • Trinity College London Integrated Skills in English II (B2): a pass in reading, listening, speaking, writing (applicable to non-EU and EU students)

Students who require an international student visa to study in the UK and whose native language is not English, are also be required to meet specific grade requirements and conditions of study as stipulated by the UK Visa and Immigration (UKVI). Please check their website for current information.

On-campus diagnostic test

If you live in London, or are able to visit us, we can offer you a free English diagnostic test.

This test is offered through Regent's Institute of Languages & Culture and should be arranged in advance. Please note, this is a diagnostic test for Regent’s University London only.
