Our new range of liberal studies degrees provides a true US-style liberal arts education
, a first in the UK. In your foundation year you undertake a general education programme which provides a comprehensive foundation for your degree studies. From the first year of your degree, you choose a ‘major’ subject area whilst taking a range of ‘electives’ to tailor your degree to match your passions and interests. Every module in our liberal studies programme has been specifically designed for the degree, delivering you a broad-based education which engages you in critical and interdisciplinary thinking. Liberal arts graduates are well-prepared to make the most of opportunities in a fast-moving global economy.
This programme is designed to provide a thorough framework in broad-based business and management knowledge and to develop skills necessary to thrive in a dynamic and challenging business environment.
It is organised around core business subject areas, such as accounting, marketing, operations, and around core management subjects (including people management and creative leadership). A key aim of this programme is to develop an understanding of the nature of business as a whole and equip you with the tools and techniques applicable to a wide variety of business situations.
