Ms. Heidrun Hoffmann
Program Director MBA
Erkrather Straße 224a
The 12-month program starts at the beginning of March and September each year and aims at qualifying participants for the strategic leadership of companies. The curriculum emphasizes management concepts which foster strategic vision, entrepreneurial spirit, operational excellence, and awareness of cultural differences. Participants learn to identify complex interdependencies and to leverage the knowledge of functional specialist colleagues for the advantage of the entire company. Due to the global perspective, a sense for an understanding of cultural differences and how this matters for individual and corporate success is developed.
Teamwork is an essential element of our teaching approach. In study groups of five to six, participants discuss current course content and apply concepts and tools in practically oriented projects.
The program is taught by senior members of the WHU faculty. During the program's international module (we currently cooperate with Kellogg - USA, CEIBS - China and IIMB - India) by the faculty of hosting partner universities.
The Program is a General Management Program. Anyhow in the second part of their studies the students can select concentration courses in Advanced Marketing & Sales, Advanced Finance & Accounting, Operations, Innovation & Entrepreneurship and Strategy & Organization.
During the concentrations module, students have to choose 9 courses out of the concentration courses offered. Participants may choose to stick to the General Management-Track by selecting courses from all fields. If a student selects at least 3 courses from one field, this concentration will be shown on the final certificate (transcript).
