#EUGreenWeek Virtual Talk: Renewables in transport - prospects and barriers

Beschreibung

The Renewable Energy Talks serve to discuss recent topics and trends in the renewable energy sector with experts in their respective fields. They also are great events for networking and getting in touch. This Event is a partner-event of the EU Green Week 2022 - EU Green Week is an annual opportunity to debate European environmental policy with policymakers, leading environmentalists and stakeholders from Europe and beyond. This year's edition focuses on the European Green Deal!

Transport is the sector with the highest growth rates in CO2-emissions and the lowest shares of renewable energy. Strong efforts are necessary to bring this sector in line with the energy transition goals towards a sustainable energy system.

The major objective of this event is to identify the prospects for transport fuels from biomass, electricity and hydrogen.

Experts contributing with short presentations are:
  • Reinhard Haas (EEG, TU Wien)
  • Amela Ajanovic (EEG, TU Wien)
  • Gerfried Jungmeier (Joanneum Graz)
  • Michael Harasek (TU Wien)
The Renewable Energy Talks are an extracurricular event in the course of the MSc Renewable Energy Systems.
