The MBA Entrepreneurship & Innovation is a highly interactive, practice-driven programme designed to bridge theory and real-world application. It uniquely combines robust general management expertise with cutting-edge skills in entrepreneurship and innovation management—equipping students to lead, create, and transform businesses in dynamic environments. Students benefit from Saarland University’s profile as an Entrepreneurial University, gaining hands-on experience through close links to start-up activities and the Triathlon ecosystem for entrepreneurship, innovation, and transfer. Delivered entirely in English, the programme prepares graduates for international careers in innovation-driven industries.
Tailor-made for founders and those interested in founding a business, practitioners, entrepreneurs and employees.
The degree offers direct support for founders during the start-up process, while also equipping graduates to successfully manage innovation projects within companies, contribute to research and development, or advance corporate spin-offs. Thanks to the program’s specialized and interdisciplinary competencies and its international orientation, graduates are qualified for diverse professional roles across organizations of all sizes and in various geographical regions. Career opportunities span entrepreneurship, business management, and the broader economic sector. Both before and after completing the program, professional pathways are highly diverse; graduates can work in virtually any field or industry, domestically or internationally, and may assume leadership roles or pursue their own entrepreneurial initiatives.
The full-time programme lasts one year and starts in October. During the first nine months of studies, our MBA students complete the required 15 courses (blocked courses, ussulaly from Wednesday to Saturday). The programme is completed by a Master Thesis (duration 3 months). The programme finishes in October.
