UBI Business School Featured in AMBA & BGA’s Global Docuseries
UBI Business School is proud to be featured in the recently launched Business School Docuseries by the Association of MBAs (AMBA) and the Business Graduates Association (BGA). Produced by BlackRook Media, the series explores how selected institutions are responding to the changing landscape of business education. UBI’s contribution tells a powerful story of flexibility, international reach, and a commitment to student-centred learning.

At the heart of UBI’s feature is its HyFlex learning model, a self-developed approach that exemplifies the school’s dedication to innovation. HyFlex—short for “hybrid and flexible”—is more than a delivery method. It reflects UBI’s vision for the future of education: one that is accessible, adaptable, and globally connected.

A Global Classroom Without Borders

UBI’s HyFlex model enables students to attend live classes either in person or online, in real time. This model brings together students from over 50 nationalities, connecting professionals across industries and time zones into a single, active learning environment. Whether joining from Brussels, Luxembourg, Madrid or abroad, every student receives the same interactive, academically rigorous experience—without having to put their careers or personal commitments on hold.

The docuseries highlights how UBI’s students, many of whom are working professionals, benefit from this flexibility. In interviews, they speak about the opportunities to engage meaningfully in class discussions, collaborate with peers across borders, and build a truly international network. UBI alumni also reflect on how this approach has strengthened their careers, broadened their perspectives, and allowed them to continue learning without interruption.

Innovation Driven by Purpose

UBI has long embraced a mission to make high-quality business education accessible to students wherever they are in the world. The HyFlex model is a direct response to that mission. It recognises the realities of modern life: professionals are mobile, schedules are demanding, and the need for flexible, future-oriented education has never been greater.

But flexibility at UBI does not mean compromise. The HyFlex model is built on the same high academic standards and exceptional student experience as its in-person delivery. All students, whether onsite or online, benefit from direct engagement with faculty, collaborative group work, and ongoing support. This balance of rigour and adaptability is what sets UBI apart.

“This isn’t just a format—it reflects who we are,” as noted in the video. “UBI’s ethos is rooted in accessibility, adaptability, and global engagement.”

A Community That Reflects the World

UBI’s feature in the docuseries also gives a glimpse into the unique atmosphere of its campuses. With locations in Brussels, Luxembourg, Shanghai, Madrid and a robust online presence, the school serves as a hub for global exchange. Students come from diverse cultural and professional backgrounds, bringing different perspectives into each classroom. This diversity enhances the learning experience and prepares students for leadership roles in an interconnected world.

Beyond the classroom, UBI supports students through mentorship, career development, and entrepreneurial initiatives. Initiatives like the QS-shortlisted Venture Creation Lab encourage students to turn ideas into action while receiving guidance from faculty and industry mentors. These initiatives reflect UBI’s broader commitment to developing leaders who are prepared for the digital economy, committed to sustainable growth, and driven by responsible leadership.
