The "Master in International Management" is a post-graduate 18-month fulltime study programme open for bachelor graduates in the fields of business adminstration, commerce, engineering, architecture and other related professions.

The globalization of markets, business models and supply chains for goods and services increases the challenges for international managers to accomplish sustainable economic growth while transforming organizations to become more agile, more networked and more diverse. The programme is designed to provide dedicated graduates a comprehensive and state-of-the-art curriculum aligned to five contemporary global business trends:

The programme is designed and conducted in close cooperation with companies and business associates. Following state-of-the-art professional educational trends the master programme focuses on the acquisition of manifold competencies with special emphasis on the development of intercultural and interdisciplinary team skills.

  • Prerequisite for admission is a first academic degree in general business administration, engineering, especially civil engineering, mechanical engineering and electrical engineering, or related professional fields and proof of 210 ECTS and an overall grade of at least 2.0.
  • If the number of 210 credits cannot be proven, a further 30 credits must be acquired through the compulsory elective courses offered in the degree programme or comparable study and examination achievements. The examination board decides on the selection of the compulsory elective modules to be taken after proposal by the applicants.
  • Applicants who have a first academic degree from a recognised higher education institution of a member state of the European Union with an overall grade of less than 2.0, but at least 2.5 and the required English language skills can participate in a selection procedure. In these cases, a minimum score of 5 points must be achieved on the basis of the following selection criteria:
    • 1. the overall grade of the first academic degree and
    • 2. special suitability.
    • If no proof of the criteria is submitted, no points will be awarded.
  • Applicants who have a first academic degree from a recognised foreign higher education institution in a country that is not a member of the European Union must prove their eligibility to study for a Master's degree in the European Union:
    • 1. take the Test for Foreign Students (TestAS) in Economics in English. The following results must be achieved: A standard score of at least 111 in the core module or in one of the two subject-specific test modules, and at least 101 in the other two.
    • 2. candidates must achieve a minimum score of 5 points according to appendices 1 and 2.
    • 3. if these criteria are not met, admission is to be refused.
  • If the overall grade is worse than 2.5, admission will not be granted.
Special admission requirements:
  • Knowledge of the English language must be proven
  • Letter of motivation
The language of instruction in compulsory modules and, as a rule, also in the elective modules is English. Details on admission can be found in the corresponding regulations.
