EMBA Alumnus wins top Black Business Woman Award

The European Federation of Black Women Business Owners & Professionals recently celebrated its 10th Anniversary at the Black Women in Business Awards (BIBA) Dinner which took place in London on the 27th October. As part of the awards RSM EMBA Alumnus Elizabeth van Geerestein won the European Black Business Woman of the year award.

Elizabeth, who also possesses a PhD, graduated from RSM in 2001 and founded Papillon & Partners, and now works extensively in the areas of personal leadership development, organizational change management and business process and performance optimization.

Over the last few years Elizabeth (receiving her award on the left above) has since been back to RSM where she now teaches on the Personal Leadership Development programme on the International Full-time MBA as well as facilitating workshops for the Career Development Centre. Speaking of her award Elizabeth revealed that she was “extremely honored to have been nominated and to win this prestigious award”.

Black Women in European Business

The European Federation of Black Women Business Owners & Professionals (EFBWBO) is now in its 10th year and has built a reputation of being the main driving force in the UK and Europe in helping black women business owners and professionals to gain recognition by both mainstream and the black business community.

The EFBWBO now has over 10,000 members from across Europe and supports black women in business with events, conferences and workshops aimed at creating links among black business women of various cultures.
