The Master in Innovation and Entrepreneurship (MIE) is designed for ambitious minds ready to create, disrupt, and bring ideas to life.
In the program, you will experience the full innovation journey: learning how to identify opportunities, design and test innovative ideas and turn them into real solutions. Whether your goal is to launch a startup or shape innovation within an established organization, the MIE equips you with the mindset, knowledge, and network to make it happen.
Through hands-on projects, mentorship from founders, corporate partners, industry experts, and access to Berlin’s vibrant innovation ecosystem, you will develop the practical skills, business foundations, and trusted network to create meaningful value for business and society.

Requirements / Application
- A previous degree (at least Bachelor's equivalent) with excellent grades. If you are finishing your undergraduate studies within the next year, your application will also be considered.
- Ideally, applicants to the MIE program will have between 0-3 years of post-graduate work experience. Applicants with up to five years of post-graduate work experience will be considered for admission on a case-by-case basis, following assessment and alignment of their academic and professional goals to the respective program.
- English language proficiency test scores (if applicable)
- Entrance exam (if applicable) - taking the GMAT/GRE or BAT test is not mandatory if you can provide evidence of your quantitative skills. However, not all students will be granted waivers. If your quantitative background is not strong enough, you may be required to take the BAT or GMAT/GRE test.
- Completed application - including essays, one reference, and €75 application fee.

Tuition / Fees
Cost of tuition for master's programs: 36,000 Euros
The ESMT Master's Program tuition fee covers all courses and seminars, teaching materials, orientation, and career support. Your tuition will be paid in three installments over two academic years.
Applicants who complete their application to the master program by the deadlines below will be automatically considered for an early bird discount on their master tuition fees.
