Our mission is to qualify our students to become experts in the international financial world. Our Master of Science in International Finance programme is taught entirely in English and all students spend one semester abroad at our partner university in Switzerland. The University of Applied Sciences Northwestern Switzerland in Olten is located close to the heart of the Swiss financial marketplace. In addition, students can participate in summer schools in Korea and Great Britain.
Due to this integrated study abroad component, as well as a syllabus covering a wide range of international issues and modern teaching methods, the programme has been accredited by the European accreditation agency, FIBAA (Foundation for International Business Administration Accreditation). The programme focuses strongly on finance courses, as well as on social skills such as communication, intercultural understanding, teamwork, and self-management.
Students profit from the small class sizes and the extensive experience of professors and financial professionals. The teaching staff of the Master programme is comprised of professors from Nürtingen-Geislingen University (HfWU), professors from the partner universities, as well as financial and management professionals.
Voraussetzungen / Zulassung
Requirements:
- Undergraduate degree in Business or Economics from a national or international institute of higher education
- Fluency in the English language, proven by the Test of English as a Foreign Language – TOEFL – with at least 550 points (paper-based) or 213 points (computer-based) or the first degree from an English-speaking university
- Application essay
Application Process:
Students are admitted in accordance with a selection process, during which a ranking list is compiled.
The key selection criterion for the award of study places is the average grade obtained in the first degree.
